Electro-pop beats!!

Jessica and Kelly are a little two-woman band called disco! disco!, they combined forces in September 2009 and began writing tunes. Realizing quickly that they were sounding like a cheesy lounge act, they recognized the need for some pounding beats to get the danceable sound they were looking for.

disco! disco!‘s releasing their EP titled INTERGALACTIC PARTY PEOPLE tomorrow night at The Academy (437 Stradbrook Ave). This will also be their first live performance. None of the tracks have been leaked/released yet, with a plan to announce their myspace page after the weekend.

Our readymix sweatheart Dan L will be kicking off the night and disco! disco! will be sharing the stage with Grant Paley (a.k.a. DJ RPG). The party will be hosted by J. Williamez.

Designer Drugs lead lifestyles of the rich and famous, but are really just poor boys who love helicopters and pop banger music…and a few other things that will not be noted. Currently, Designer Drugs is releasing new material with Iheartcomix Records.

Both members of Designer Drugs pull from their classical music training to create club anthems with pop sensibilities; encouraging the listener to enjoy the music both in the club and in their living rooms. Slaves to the studio, they focus on top end production and are constantly requested to write, record, mix and master projects for other artists.

Last year, Designer Drugs released their single “ZOMBIES! / Back Up In This” on Iheartcomix Records with Remixes by Nadastrom, Don Rimini, Le Castle Vania and Bird Peterson. Designer Drugs has also completed remixes for artists such as Annie, N.A.S.A., Heartsrevolution, The Toxic Avenger, Milke, Little Boots, The Veronicas, Thieves Like Us, Treasure Fingers, Mariah Carey, Jupiter One, Heart’s Revolution, Mission Control, Hail Social, and IAMX.

On October 27th, Designer Drugs smashed the world of dirty electro with their newest release, Riot/Drop Down.
